Living On Love

Kurt lost whatever sense of ‘tear-holding’ he had right there.  He wasn’t sure if it was time or not, but right after Blaine said those words, he kissed him.  He had to.  Kurt cupped his hands around Blaine’s face, pressing into his lips for a most passionate kiss.  He was beyond words at this point.

Blaine sighed into the kiss that sealed their love again.  Once they parted he listened to the closing words that sealed their renewed wedding vows and announced them as husbands for life, and when told he once again kissed his husband as the applause swept through the room.

Kurt drew in a breath, speaking words he had memorized weeks ago, hoping that his voice wouldn’t crack during these words.  He was fighting every instance not to cry.  ”Dearest Blaine, all that I am and all that I have, I offer to you in love and in joy.   From this day forward I will love and comfort you, hold you close, prize you above all others, and remain faithful to you all the days of our lives.”  He flashed Blaine a smile amidst his tears as he continued to speak.

“Today, a day of music and celebration, I pledge to share my life with you. Whether the days that come are happy or sad,  I will live them with you. Blaine Anderson, I give myself to you as your husband.”  

Blaine took a shuddering breath when the officiant turned to him and asked him to speak his vows.  He wiped a tear from his cheek before he spoke “Kurt, today renew my love and life to yours, not merely as your husband but as your friend, your lover, and your confidant. Let me be the shoulder you lean on, the rock on which you rest, the companion of your life. With you I will walk my path from this day forward. I love you.”

Kurt stared at his husband with adoring eyes.  It was almost like he was in this haze, and all he could do was cling onto Blaine.  ”Yes,” he whispered, his eyes widening at the scene that waiated him.  ”Oh Blaine,” he murmured, feeling those tears press against his eyes yet again.  

Blaine smiled as he guided Kurt down the stairs and into the middle of the candlelit circle.  He smiled at his husband as the officiant started the words asking them if they promised in front of families and friends etc, but the only thing in that moment that mattered to Blaine was when the officiant turned to Kurt and asked him if he wanted to say his vows, and Blaine smiled as Kurt spoke.

The Wedding!

Kurt stared in the mirror, tugging at his coat slightly, scrutinizing his appearance to the fullest extent.  This was that moment he had planned for and dreamed of since he could remember.  Kurt sighed, but was determined not to let his insecurity about wearing a fitted suit mar the good mood ambiance.  Besides, just then, a knock was at the door.  Kurt took a deep breath and turned to Blaine’s mother and Carole both. “Wish me luck.”  He then opened the door to Blaine and bit his lip and flashed the shyest of smiles.  

Blaine gave Kurt’s hand a squeeze as he sent the moms to meet the dads and take their seats, “you ready for this baby,” he asked Kurt as he took his hand.
